Men Swimmers Dominate Maine, 187-103

The Terrier Men's Swimming and Diving Team placed first in 13 out of 16 events on Saturday (November 18th) en route to a 187-103 win over host University of Maine.
The Terrier 200 yard medley relay team consisting of senior Jason Ellow (Bath, PA), senior Jason Walkow (Erie, PA), junior Jeff Graves (Rockwell, TX), and sophomore Jake Jentzer (Bangor, ME) got the Terriers off to a good start by winning the event with a time of 1:40.60.
Individually, five of the Terriers were double winners.
Ellow won the 200-and 500 -yard freestyle with times of 1:49.43 and 5:03.82, respectively. Junior David Rosado (Madrid, Spain) took the 1000-yard freestyle with 10:16.26 and the 200-yard backstroke with 2:03.41. Walkow placed first in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke with 1:02.47 and 2:17.08, respectively. Graves won the 100- and 200-yard fly posting times of :52.90 and 1:59.34. Also, senior diver Greg Voloshin (Warwick, NY) took the one- and three-meter dives with scores of 276.08 and 226.50 points.
Although the Terriers were leading Maine 176-99 going into the last event, they did not let up at all. The 400-yard freestyle relay team including sophomore Mark Douglas (College Point, NY), Rosado, Graves, and Jentzer swam hard to win with a time of 3:17.67.
Besides Jentzer's two relay wins, he also captured one individual win for BU in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Terriers will return to action on December 9th when they travel to Central Connecticut.
