Dieckfoss Leads Strong Terrier Effort in Season Opener

Boston - Junior Jochen Dieckfoss (Tubingen, Germany) captured a first-place finish to lead the Terrier Men's Cross Country team to season-opening victories over America East rivals Northeastern and Albany at the double dual meet at Franklin Park on last Friday (Sept. 13).
Dieckfoss, the two-time America East Cross Country Champion, finished the five-mile course in 25:13.
Andy Allstadt of Albany placed second in 25:21, and was followed by Terriers seniors Rob Wong (Fayetteville, NY) and Jordan Jones (Medford, MA), who finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
The Terriers defeated Northeastern, 15-42, and Albany, 24-31, while Albany came in second by defeating Northeastern, 15-48.
Up next, the Terriers travel to Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y., to compete at the Iona Invitational on Saturday, September 25.
