November 13, 2025 | Men's Cross Country
HOPKINTON, N.H. — The Boston University cross country teams are headed to the Hopkinton Fairgrounds for the NCAA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Boston College on Friday (Nov. 14).
The women's 6K race begins at 11 a.m. and the men's 10K race goes off at noon.
The women — who finished eighth a season ago — will feature sophomores Adrienne Buettner-Cable (56th, 21:08.33) and Caroline Collins (100th, 21:46.14) as their lone returners from last year's regionals. The eighth-place finish was the team's best since 2008.
Returning from the top five for the men from last year's 11th-place NCAA Northeast Regionals squad are senior Parker Schneider (66th, 31:24.50) and sophomores Dan Hruska (79th, 31:34.21) and James American Horse (86th, 31:46.58).
This season, the women finished fourth at the Patriot League Championships, led by 19th-place finisher Merem Gabriel Rodriguez (21:33.1). She was followed by senior Sammy Seabury in 22nd with a 21:37.0 mark. Then it was junior Abby Waddington, who crossed the line in 21:41.4, good for 25th. Junior Adrienne Buettner-Cable was right behind her, posting a 21:42.0 time, and rounding out the top five was sophomore Luna Scorzelli, who finished 31st in 21:45.8.
The men's team also took fourth at the Patriot League Championships, as senior Parker Schneider led the men with a seventh-place finish (24:33.6) and was named to the All-Patriot League first team for the second time in his career, following his fourth-place finish in 2023. Classmate Tucker Bowerfind followed Schneider, taking 20th with a 25:08.9 mark. Then it was sophomore Dan Hruska who crossed the line next, placing 27th in 25:30.9. Senior Freddy Collins finished 26th in 25:48.2 and closing out the top five was freshman Greg Poisson with a 25:53.6 time.
BU earned weekly awards on the men's side this year, with Hruska taking Patriot League Runner of the Week on Sept. 9 and freshmen Will Tempest and Justin Ruiz both earning Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 9 and Sept. 23, respectively.
