Terriers Fall To Rams, 193.5-103.5

Kingston, R.I. - The Terrier men's swimming and diving team lost its final regular season meet, 193.5-103.5, to the University of Rhode Island at URI's Tootell Athletic Center on Feb. 1, 2003.
Sophomore diver Victor Paquia (Lake Forest, IL) kept the Terriers within contention, winning both the 1- and 3-meter diving events. Paquia has taken first-place in all eight 1-meter events he has competed in this season, and has won 7-of-8 3-meter events.
With its best time of the season, the 200 Freestyle relay team of sophomore David Brown (Fallbrook, CA), freshman Mike Kelly (Shrewsbury, NJ), senior Aaron LeValley (Elma, NY), and junior Jay Toutant (Madison, WI) earned a first-place finish with a time of 1:27.96.
Toutant also placed second in both the 100 and 200 backstroke races while Kelly took second in the 100 and 50 freestyle events.
Senior Douglas Mark (College Point, NY) placed second in both the 1000 and 500 freestyle events.
The Terriers next compete at the America East Championships at the University of Maine on Feb. 14-16.
