Wilcox Named Hockey East Rookie Of the Week

BOSTON ??? Boston University women???s ice hockey freshman goaltender Allyse Wilcox (Grand Blanc, Mich.) was named Hockey East Itech Rookie of the Week for her performance on Oct. 7 at Northeastern. Wilcox stopped 28-of-32 shots in a close 4-3 loss and held the Huskies 0-for-8 on the power play.
A member of the Honeybaked team of the Midwest Women???s Elite Hockey League for the past two seasons, Wilcox recorded a 1.63 goals-against average with 817 saves and 76 goals against in 48 games.
The Terriers play their inaugural home opener against Quinnipiac tonight, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. at Walter Brown Arena.
