Men's Golf Third At America East Championship

ALTAMONT, N.Y. - Boston University finished third at the 2005 America East Men's Golf Championship at the Orchard Creek Golf Club in Altamont, N.Y.
The Terriers shot a 329-323--652 in the two-day tournament, finishing 58 strokes behind champion Binghamton University (304-290--594) and 38 behind second-place University of Hartford (329-323--652).
Binghamton freshman Zachary Vinal earned Kenneth J. Pope individual medalist honors, shooting an even-par 73-71--144.
The Terriers were led by sophomore Remy Sloan (Montvale, N.J.), who finished with four others tied for second overall with a 75-75--150.
Binghamton head coach Nick Lasky was named Coach of the Year.
The America East Championship is stroke play with the top four of a team’s five golfers counting toward the score in each round.
