Men's Golf 16th at New England Division I Championships

PROVIDENCE - The Boston University men’s golf team finished 16th at the New England Division I Championships played this weekend at the Triggs Memorial Golf Course. The Terriers shot 655 (+79) in the 36-hole event, just six strokes behind Providence, which shot 649 (+73). Binghamton won the event with a score of 580 (+4).
The Terriers were led by sophomore Mike O’Day, who carded a 159 (+15), including a first-round 77 – the best round shot by a BU player in the event. O’Day finished tied for 61st. Senior captain Remington Sloan finished tied for 65th at 161 (+17), along with freshman Chris Conroy. The pair each shot a consistent 80-81 in their respective rounds. Sophomore Mark DiCristofaro was 78th at 175 (+31), while freshman David Rubin carded a 180 (+36), good for 80th place.
The Terriers return to action Wednesday afternoon at the Lou Flumere Invitational in Stowe, Mass.
