PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Boston University women's golf team earned a 12th-place finish at the Rutgers Invitational over the weekend. Junior Lauren Stong led the way for the Terriers, landing in a three-way tie for 27th (80-85--165).
BU competed in a field with 18 other schools on a 5,847 yard, par-2 course. The Terriers finished with a team total of 690, after earning a 347 on the first day of competition and a 343 on day two.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Mardeusz finished 39th overall with a two-day total of 169. On day one she finished with an 87 before lowering it four strokes on day two (83). Freshman Ana Johnson shot a 93 and an 82 for a two-day total of 175 to finish 59th overall, while senior Rachel Oppenheimer (73rd, 92-88--180), senior Hannah Barry (80th, 89-95--184) and senior Onike Williams (89th, 100-92--192) rounded out the field.
BU will tee off again on Oct. 28 and 29 at the Sacred Heart Invitational in Fairfield, Conn.
