Terriers in Sixth After Opening Day of Red Bandanna Invitational

CANTON, Mass. - The Boston University women's golf team stands in sixth place among 15 teams after the first two rounds of the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College on Monday at Blue Hill Country Club.Â
The Terriers posted rounds of 308 and 314 to end the day at plus-46, two strokes behind fifth-place Rollins and 12 strokes behind a three-way tie for second. The host Eagles stand in first at plus-11.Â
Three Terriers will enter Tuesday's round in the top 20. Sophomores Sophia Zhang (75-78) and Monica Wu (77-76) are tied for 13th at plus-9 while senior Amy Han is a stroke behind them at plus-10 (74-80), putting her in a tie for 17th.Â
Playing as an individual, senior Hibiki Adachi posted rounds of 80 and 77 to finish the day tied for 27th at plus-13.
Sophomore Wendy Li, who eagled her first hole of the day, figured into the team score in both rounds, posting a 162 (82-80) on Monday to sit tied for 49th. Freshman Tatiana Ang is tied for 70th at plus-26 (87-83).
Ang will be the first BU golfer off the tee in Tuesday's final round at 9:15 a.m.
