Men's Golf Finishes Third at AE Championship

APALACHIN, N.Y. - The Boston University men's golf team finished third overall at the 2007 America East Men's Golf Championship at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y. The Terriers shots a 656 over the day-two event and had two golfers finish in the top 10. Freshman Akhilesh Chitlangia and senior captain Steven Smith both recorded top-10 finishes.

Chitlangia, the team's 2007 MVP, finished in ninth place overall with rounds of 79 and 81 for a two-day total of 160. Smith completed in the course in 10th place with a 162 (80-82). Sophomore Chris Conroy (88-82--170, 13th), junior Ron Shimko (83-88-171, 14th) and junior Jason Green (81-92--173, 15th) rounded out the field for the Terriers.
