PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University women's rowing team competed in its second race of the year at the Princeton Chase on Sunday afternoon. The Terriers had three top ten finishes with their "A" boat taking fourth in the varsity eight race and "B" and "A" squads placing seventh and eighth, respectively, in the coxed four event.
Yale's "A" team finished first in the varsity eight with a time of 15:12.853. BU's "A" boat posted a time of 15:23.819 to finish fourth out of 43 competitors. The other boat took 21st at 16:19.997.
Princeton captured the coxed four race at 17:01.097. The Terriers finished back-to-back at seventh and eighth with times of 17:43.015 and 17:44.939, respectively. Their "D" boat took 24th at 18:36.147, while the "C" boat placed 32nd out of 40 teams.
The women return home next week to host the Toe of the Charles on Saturday (Nov. 1) at the DeWolfe Boathouse.
