BOSTON - The Boston University golf team will begin its quest to defend its America East title on Saturday, May 3 at the Simsbury Farms Golf Course in Simsbury, Conn. The Terriers have won back-to-back championships, and Lauren Stong was crowned the individual champion in 2007. BU, Albany and Hartford will tee-off at noon on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The Terriers finished the spring season on a high note, earning a come-from-behind win at the Jack Leaman Invitational on April 20. BU fought back from a fifth-place first round to take top honors. Sophomore Kaitlyn Mardeusz finished third after carding a 165 in the two-day tourney. Freshman Ana Johnson, junior Allison Hamilton, Strong and freshman Dana DeStefano will round out the field for the Terriers.
