
Terriers Finish Sixth at SHU Fall Classic

Fairfield, Conn. - The Boston University women's golf team finished sixth overall at the 2009 Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Monday (Oct. 19). The Terriers carded a 717 over the two-day event, and were led by Ana Johnson, who finished 18th overall.
Johnson shot a 175 over the two days to finish in a three-way tie for 18th. She was followed by Kaitlyn Mardeusz, who shot an 89 on day one and improved on day two with an 87 to finish 21st overall. Newcomer Kaitlin Garske was close behind in 24th with a two-day total of 178, and Dana DeStefano (31st, 91-93--184), Courtney Dampolo (36th, 92-94--186) and Jill Eelman (37th, 97-90--187) rounded out the field.
BU will return to action on Monday (Oct. 26) and Tuesday (Oct. 27) when it travels to Southern Pines, N.C. to participate in the Ross Resorts Invitational at Mid Pines, hosted by Rollins College.
