
Women's Golf Finishes Second at AE Championships

Loudonville, N.Y. - The Boston University golf team finished second at the 2009 America East Women's Golf Championship on Sunday afternoon, carding a 664 over two days at the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Loudonville, N.Y. Sophomore Ana Johnson sat atop the Terriers' leaderboard and finished second overall with a two-day total of 159.
After their best round of the season on Saturday, the Terriers improved on it even more on Sunday with a 331.
Three of the five Terriers improved from their day one total, including junior Kaitlyn Mardeusz who improved five strokes with a 79 on day two. She finished in a tie for sixth place with a two-day total of 163.
Senior Allison Hamilton went from an 87 to an 83 on day two to finish with a 170 this weekend and finish 11th overall. Sophomore Dana DeStefano placed one spot behind Hamilton in 12th after carding a 172 (87-85). Senior Lauren Stong (88-92--180) rounded out the group with a 14th-place finish.
