Senior Arik Seiler has been named the 2008-09 Boston University men's swimming team following another solid year from the sprinter. Seiler finished in the top five in three different events at the 2009 America East Swimming and Diving Championships and swam the third leg of the winning 400 free relay.
The Portland, Maine, native finished second in the 200 free in a time of 1:38.91, third in the 200 IM with a time of 1:50.81 seconds and fourth in the 100 free in 45.32 seconds. His times in the 200 free and 200 IM were also school records.
He was also a member of the record-breaking 400 free relay that set a new conference and school record at the America East Championships (2:57.72). They had bested the previous mark by over four ticks.
He currently owns two individual school records and is a member of two school-record relay teams.
