So if you saw the top story this evening on GoTerriers.com, you'd notice that @BUAthletics reached 2,000 followers. As the release notes, that means you and I have helped Boston University become the first Division I athletics department in the New England and the America East Conference to reach this milestone.
Director of Athletics Mike Lynch has asked his staff to put more resources into social media initiatives, and there will be some great stuff coming out soon along with what has already been launched on the website through Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
Thanks to everyone who has followed the account and has been retweeting. We want to hear your feedback, so please send me an e-mail by clicking here. I'll be sure to pass it along.
Now, I've already received some e-mails from fans saying they loved seeing me on SportsCenter but couldn't remember the commercials. Well, thanks to YouTube, I'm able to post them.
Needless to say, I had a great time checking out ESPN's studio and getting in front of the camera. It was a lot of hard work, but it was well worth it.
