Nominations Open for BU Athletic Hall of Fame

Throughout the month of April, Terrier Nation can nominate deserving BU student-athletes from the past as well as non-athletes associated with the department, including coaches, staff, faculty and supporters.
A committee will determine the final slate of nominees to be considered for induction, and will consider all past nominees.
Nominations can be submitted online by clicking here, or be mailed to the Boston University Department of Athletics, 285 Babcock St., Boston, MA, 02215. Nominations can also be e-mailed to hof@bu.edu. Please submit the name, sport(s) played/coached, year of graduation/years of service, and supporting documentation for your nominee, which needs to be between 175-400 words. The nomination deadline is Thursday, April 30.
The nominee must have conducted himself or herself in such a way as to reflect honor on the University and to have those qualities of character and standard of conduct most desirable in one who may be cited as an example for all people. The nominee must also have been a varsity letter recipient at BU and his/her original class must have graduated at least five years ago. Each nominee must have also demonstrated exceptional athletic ability and made significant contributions to BU while representing the University in intercollegiate competition.
Any former coach, administrator or staff member may be nominated five (5) years after leaving Boston University while a current Athletics employee may be nominated with a minimum of twenty (20) years of service to the University.
Supporters and their contributions may vary (faculty athletic advisor, volunteer coach, team physician, longtime fan, valued employee of the university, etc.) and do not need to be directly affiliated with the University to be considered but these contributions should be significant and substantial in duration and stature.
The chosen inductees will join a list of Boston University sports legends that includes Mickey Cochrane, Mike Eruzione, Debbie Miller, Mary Pratt and Nick Saunders. The 56th induction banquet will take place during the Fall 2026 semester on a date to be determined.
The most recent induction ceremony in 2024 had a class that featured Ally Hammel '19 (field hockey), Anne Sheridan '05 (lacrosse), Meghann Cook '06 (soccer), Adela Cejnarova '17 (golf), Fiola Foley '01 (rowing), Marisa Ryan '07 (cross country, track & field), Tim Masick '69 (baseball) and Tony Simms '83 (basketball).
