Golf Finishes Fifth at 2010 MAAC Championships

CELEBREATION, Fla. - In its inaugural season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the Boston University golf team placed fifth overall in the MAAC Championships, held at the Celebration Golf Course in Celebration, Fla. BU shot 1,010 over the three-day event, with Ana Johnson and Kaitlyn Mardeusz topping BU's leaderboard in fifth place overall.
Johnson shot an 79 on day one and an 87 on day two and then saved her best for last for the third and final day as she shot a 75 for a total of 241. Mardeusz was consistent over the three days, shooting 80-80-81 to finish with 241.
Courtney Dampolo carded a 258 (81-89-88) to tie for 19th overall, while Kaitlin Garske rounded out BU's field with a 24th-place finish, carding a 270 (90-89-91).
