DeStefano, Johnson Named to MAAC Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, N.J. - Rising seniors Dana DeStefano and Ana Johnson have been named to the 2009-10 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, the conference announced on Tuesday morning.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale and be in his or her second year of athletic eligibility. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members of the MAAC with athletes represented in all 24 sports that the conference sponsors.
DeStefano (Melville, N.Y.) holds a 3.48 GPA as a hospitality management major, while Johnson (Oconomowoc, Wis.) also holds a 3.48 GPA as a health studies major.
BU, who recently competed in its first season in the MAAC, will begin its fall season on Sept. 18 and 19 at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H.
