BU Cheerleaders and Dancers Excel at National Summer Camp

Each year, the National Cheer Association (NCA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA) College Summer Camps come to Boston University, and the Terriers' cheer and dance teams again captured several honors with impressive performances.
The cheerleaders received third place in the Rally Routine competition for Division I Small Coed teams (1-4 males), three superior ribbons and an invitation to the 2011 NCA National Competition in April.
The dancers received top honors in the Game Day Dance and Team Dance categories along with the `Best All Around' award. The team also won `Most Collegiate' and a gold invitation to NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach this April. Seven BU dancers were tabbed All-American nominees, while Rachel Scott and Kat Chester were both named NDA All-Americans.
Both teams are excited to announce the dates for this year's tryouts.
Cheer tryouts will be Wednesday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 9 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at FitRec on Court 1. An informational meeting will take place prior on Monday, Sep. 6 at 7 p.m. in Eilberg Lounge in the Case Center (285 Babcock St.). For more information, please e-mail cheerbu@bu.edu.
Dance tryouts will be Saturday, Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the basketball gym at the Case Center (285 Babcock St.).
