BOSTON - Senior Tyson Slesnick has been named the Boston University swimming team's most valuable player for the 2009-10 season following a stellar sendoff campaign that culminated with two titles at the 2010 America East Swimming and Diving Championships.

Slesnick, a distance specialist, won six individual races throughout the 10-dual meet schedule before his outstanding performance at the 2010 AE Championships.

Following wins in the 1650 free and 400 IM at the conference championships, Slesnick captured the Men's Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet award. The native of Austin, Texas graduates from BU with school and conference records in both of those respective events.
