
Women's Swimming and Diving Tops New Hampshire, 184-113

BOSTON - The Boston University women's swimming and diving team continued its winning streak with a 184-113 victory over AE foe New Hampshire on Monday afternoon at Competition Pool.
The Terriers kicked off the events with a victory in the 200-medley relay as Maria McIntyre, Kristen Connors, Kirsten Tullis, and Lauren Drake raced to a 1:44.90 finish. A few events later, McIntyre led a 1-2-3-4 sweep in the 100 back. McIntyre touched the wall in 58.82, followed by Katie Radin in 59.11, Kara Zebrowski in 59.23, and Francesca Ferrante in 59.35.
Connors kept the momentum going with a win in the 100 breast (1:03.69), and Drake and Tullis finished first and second in the 50 free with times of 24.19 and 24.28, respectively.
The divers continued to dominate the boards as sophomore Melinda Matyas scored a 292.35 to win the three-meter, while Chelsea Glincman and Sarah Colton finished in second and third with scores of 258.75 and 257.92. The trio repeated these results on the one-meter with Matyas scoring a 292.20 for first place.
The 100 free was dominated by the Terriers as Kendra Cheng (52.73) and McIntyre (52.83) claimed first and second. After finishing second in the 100 back, Radin took top honors in the 200 back with a winning time of 2:04.81. Next up was Connors with a victory in the 200 breast (2:18.44) and Amanda Schmitz in the 500 free (5:02.49). In the swimming events, Drake took the Terriers' final victory with a time of 57.02 in the 100 fly.
On Jan. 28, BU will travel to Villanova for a 4 p.m. meet.
