
Golf Team Places Eighth at Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Boston University golf team finished in eighth place at the Rutgers Invitational played at Rutgers University Golf Course.
BU finished with a two-day total of 639 as a team and was five shots behind fourth-place Dartmouth (634). Seton Hall won the team title with a score of 603. BU was seventh after the first round with a total of 318.
Sophomore Kristyna Pavlickova led the Terriers with a score of 152 (78-74) and finished tied for eighth individually. Her final-round score of 74 was the team low for the weekend. Classmate Flor Canedo was next for the Terriers with a 157 (77-80) to tie for 21st.
Freshman Emily Tillo was third on the Terriers with a 166 (81-85), while classmate Maddy Silverman was one shot behind her with a 167 (85-82). Sophomore Christina Patracuolla rounded out the BU contingent with a 171 (82-89).
Three other individuals also competed for BU over the weekend, including freshman Sarah Easton, who played in her first collegiate tournament. Junior Christine Silen and freshman Kaelyn Hilliard also competed.
The team totaled 10 birdies over the weekend, which brings their fall total to 83. Alumni, family and friends are invited to pledge a gift for every birdie the Terriers sink this season as part of the "Terrier Birdies Challenge" this fall.
The Terriers will have a weekend off before they play their final tournament of the Fall season at the Sacred Heart Invitational held Oct. 21-22.
