
Terriers Finish in Eighth at Brown Invitational

BARRINGTON, R.I. - The Boston University women's golf team concluded play at the Brown Invitational held at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, R.I. on Monday. The Terriers carded an aggregate of 697 (348-349) after two days on the par 72 course, which placed eighth in the field of nine.
St. John's claimed the tournament title with a two-day total of 629 (304-325). Kelly Shon from Princeton was the top golfer, shooting a 144 (71-73).
Kristyna Pavlickova made a big improvement after day one to become BU's top finisher. The freshman shot an 87 on Sunday before shooting a 75 on Monday to finish in 18th with a score of 162.
Senior Courtney Dampolo also improved her score on day two, as she tied for 33rd with a total of 170 (89-81). Sophomore Christine Silen finished six spots behind her with a score of 174 (92-82) for 39th place.
Rookie Flor Canedo placed 44th after shooting 180 (87-93) while classmate Christina Patracuolla concluded with a total of 187 (85-102) to place 51st.
Seniors Jill Eelman and Veronica Rodriguez rounded out the field for the Terriers. Eelman ended with a score of 195 (95-100) to place 56th while Rodriguez shot 212 (110-102) to finish 57th.
The Terriers return to action on Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14, for the Columbia Roar-EE Invitational in Suffren, N.Y.
