After posting two top-three finishes at the 2012 America East Swimming and Diving Championship, sophomore Jared Scheck has been named most valuable performer of the men's diving team for the 2011-12 season.
During the regular season, Scheck was the Terriers' top finisher from the 1-meter board in every meet, including victories against Binghamton and in the tri-meet against Stony Brook and Maine. Scheck also excelled from the 3-meter board, placing in the top five in every meet.
The Pittsburgh, Pa., native put on a stellar performance at the conference championship, placing second on the 3-meter board (297.85) and third on the 1-meter board (248.85). Sheck also qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship.
