After being named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Year, freshman Kristyna Pavlickova was named Most Valuable Player on the Boston University women’s golf team.
The Prague native had a successful year on the course as she claimed the individual title at the Sacred Heart Invitational and also placed first overall at the Hartford Invitational. She was BU’s top finisher in each event last season.
Pavlickova finished in a tie for fifth place at the MAAC Championships while also garnering MAAC Rookie of the Year honors. She was also recognized as a National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar in addition to being named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
In June, she became the first BU golfer to compete in a European Tour event when she was invited to the 2012 Prague Golf Masters.p
