The Boston University golf team, in the midst of its most successful season in years, has vaulted 100 spots in the national rankings released by Golfstat on Wednesday.

The Terriers are 134th in the nation, with 247 total teams ranked. This is the highest ranking in program history and it marks a jump of 100 spots from last year's final ranking of 234. BU is also the highest-ranked team in the MAAC.

The fall season has been a fantastic one for BU, as the Terriers won the Bucknell Invitational before they finished second at the Dartmouth Invitational. Sophomore Kristyna Pavlickova claimed an individual title at Bucknell and a second-place finish at Dartmouth. The team is on pace for a record year, as the Terriers are averaging a total of 308 so far this semester. The previous best for a semester was an average of 338.

BU will look to continue its strong season when the Terriers travel to Egg Harbour, N.J., to compete at the ECAC Championship. The two-day tournament begins on Friday (Sept. 28) before concluding the following afternoon.
