The Boston University golf team and head coach Bruce Chalas have announced the team's 2013 spring schedule.
BU will compete in five tournaments during the spring season, including the MAAC Championship, which will be held April 26-28 in Orlando, Fla.
"The team is looking forward to the spring schedule, which will start with a 54-hole event at Kingsmill Resort hosted by William & Mary," Chalas said. "Our second 54-hole event hosted by the College of Charleston will be played at the famed Pinehurst No. 6. Both courses have been regular stops on both the PGA and LPGA tours and should prove to be challenging for our team."
After the William & Mary Invitational (March 17-19), the Terriers will play at the aforementioned Pinehurst No. 6 when they face the College of Charleston (April 1-2). Ten days later, BU will begin a two-tournament weekend, as the Terriers play in the one-day Columbia Roar-EE Invitational (April 12). They will then trek to Barrington, R.I., to compete in the Brown Invitational (April 14-15).
The MAAC Championship will await the Terriers following the Brown Invitational, with the NCAA Regionals (May 10-12) in Auburn, Ala., to potentially conclude the spring portion of the schedule.
BU had arguably its best season in program history this past fall, as the Terriers claimed two team titles and finished third or higher in all but one event. Sophomore Kristyna Pavlickova earned two individual crowns and was named MAAC Golfer of the Month for both September and October.
