
Golf Team Competes at Brown Invitational

BARRINGTON, R.I. - The Boston University golf team finished eighth at the Brown Invitational held April 14-15 at the Rhode Island Country Club.
Sophomore Kristyna Pavlickova finished the 36-hole event tied for first, but was edged in a three-person playoff. She played the final round at even par after a first-round 75 for a two-day total of 147 (75-72). The Terriers combined for a team total of 645 (329-316) and had the sixth-best final round of the 14 teams competing.
Freshman Emily Tillo was second on the Terriers with a two-day total of 163 (81-82). Classmate Maddy Silverman had a terrific second round, carding a 79 to finish third on the team with a 169 (90-79). Junior Christine Silen (87-83) and sophomore Flor Canedo (86-85) rounded out the BU contingent with a 170 and 171, respectively.
BU will be off next weekend leading into the MAAC Championship, held April 26-28 in Orlando, Fla.
