CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After collecting a win at No. 2 singles and doubles to help the Boston University women's tennis team defeat Stony Brook, senior Vivien Laszloffy has been named America East Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The award marks the second for the native of Budapest, Hungary and the third overall for the Terriers this season.
A 2012 America East All-Conference First Team honoree, Laszloffy opened with an 8-6 win in doubles with sophomore Sami Lieb. She then won her singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, as the Terriers went on to claim a 4-1 victory and avenge last year's 4-3 AE tournament semifinal loss to the Seawolves.
Banned from the tournament due to the upcoming movie to the Patriot League this summer, the Terriers will conclude the season at Boston College on Wednesday (April 17) with action set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
