LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Boston University women's tennis team battled to a 4-2 loss to Navy in the Patriot League Championship on Sunday to conclude its season.

Navy secured the doubles point with wins at lines two and three, respectively, but the Terriers battled back in singles. After the Midshipmen won at line five, sophomore Gabriella Mikaul posted a dominant 6-1, 6-4 win at the top of the lineup to give BU its first point. BU tied things up, 2-2, when junior Ellie Gyuro won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, at line three.

The remaining courts all went to three sets. Senior Emily Zhao played a close third set but ultimately fell 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 as Navy went up 3-2. At the No. 2 spot, junior Nancy Liu went to a tiebreaker. At the same time, sophomore Madison Liu went to a tiebreaker at line four. N. Liu's match would be the decider, as Navy took the win 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (2) and BU fell, 4-2.
