Terriers Advance to Championship With 4-0 Victory Over Lehigh

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the seventh time in a row, the Boston University women's tennis team is headed to the Patriot League Championship thanks to a dominant 4-0 win over No. 4 Lehigh in the semifinals on Saturday morning.
BU got to work in doubles with sophomore Gabriella Mikaul and junior Nancy Liu teaming at line one to win, 6-0. Seniors Rhea Rai and Emily Zhao backed up that win with a 6-3 win of their own to give BU the doubles point.
In singles, junior Blanka DeMicheli made quick work of her match, winning 6-0, 6-1 at line five. Zhao finished next with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the No. 6 spot to give BU a 3-0 lead in the match. Sophomore Madison Liu sealed BU's fate, winning 6-4, 6-3 at line four to lift BU to the 4-0 victory and book its trip to the championship match.
BU will face the winner of No. 2 Army West Point and No. 3 Navy in the championship match on Sunday (April 19) at noon. The match will be played at Bucknell's indoor courts and only live stats will be available.
