WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Boston University women's tennis team (7-9, 5-0 PL) blanked Lehigh (8-13, 4-3 PL), 4-0, on Saturday at Army West Point. BU clinched the doubles point and went on to win the first three singles points to secure the victory.
In doubles, sophomore Gabriella Mikaul and junior Nancy Liu teamed at the No. 1 spot to win 6-0. They were backed by seniors Rhea Rai and Emily Zhao, whose 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot gave BU the doubles point.
In singles, Rai was the first to finish with an efficient 6-2, 6-0 win at line six. Zhao finished shortly thereafter with a 6-1, 6-0 win of her own at line five. Sophomore Madison Liu sealed the victory for the Terriers when she won 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot to help BU remain undefeated in Patriot League play.
BU plays its final match of the regular season on Sunday (April 12) against Army West Point. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
