EDISON, N.J. - Sophomore Kristyna Pavlickova of the Boston University golf team was named MAAC Golfer of the Month, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Pavlickova won the award after a terrific weekend of golf at two separate tournaments. She tied for an individual title at the rain-shortened Roar-EE Invitational on April 12, as she shot a 79 to help give BU a two-stroke victory as a team. Three days later, she tied for first after 36 holes at the Brown Invitational thanks to an even-par second round, but fell short in a three-person playoff. She finished the tournament with a three-over 147 (75-72) to help the Terriers finish eighth as a team.
Her month began at the Pinehurst Challenge on April 2 when she led the Terriers with a 54-hole score of 240 (82-78-80). She was one of two Terriers to break 80 during the tournament.
Pavlickova also garnered MAAC Golfer of the Month accolades in both October and November. She and the rest of the Terriers will compete at the three-day MAAC Championship in Orlando, Fla., beginning April 26.
