Terrier Fall Birdies Pledge Form
The Boston University golf team has announced the "Terrier Fall Birdies" event that will take place during the upcoming season. The Terriers are inviting alumni, friends and family to pledge a gift for every birdie that the team sinks this season.
Each time the Terriers make a birdie there will be reason to celebrate with contributions to the "Terrier Spring Birdies" fundraiser that will benefit the Friends of Women's Golf. BU began the program in March 2012 and has sank a total of 223 birdies in the last three seasons, including a program-record 92 last fall. The Terriers finished last spring with 72 birdies en route to a second-place finish at the MAAC Championship.
BU will open its fall season this weekend in defense of its Bucknell Invitational title in Lewisburg, Pa. It will be the Terriers' first tournament as a member of the Patriot League and the first time that any BU program has traveled to a conference opponent as a member of the Patriot League. The 54-hole tournament will begin with 36 holes on Saturday before Sunday's final round.
