BU Stays Perfect With Win Against UMass

BU dominated all of the swim events, taking first place in everything aside from the two breaststroke races. BU had 11 season-best performances against the Minutewomen by 10 different Terriers.
Boston U. swept the top three in five races, beginning with the first three individual race of the day. Sarah Hargrave won the 1,000 freestyle for the second week in a row while Stephanie Nasson took second with a season-best time of 10:14.76. Grace Anderson and Kaitlin Law finished in third and fourth, respectively.
Hargrave also took first place in the 500 freestyle with the team's best time of the season, swimming it in 4:49.55.
Lauren Dixon, Mika Spencer and Nasson finished in that order in the 200 freestyle followed by a sweep of the top three in the 200 backstroke by Danielle Yoon, Nikki Bookwalter and Alex Rodman.
Dixon also took first in the 100 freestyle with a season-best time of 53.06.
Avery Visser and Alexsa Savage each swam season-best times en route to first place finishes in the 200 butterfly and 50 freestyle, respectively while Tess Harpur and Karla Ferrara swam their best times of the year to take second and third in the 100 breaststroke.
Visser also took first place in the 100 butterfly while Bookwalter was the fastest swimmer in the 200 backstroke.
UMass fared better in the diving pool, taking the top four on both the 1-meter and 3-meter platforms.
With enough points to secure a victory, the Terriers did not have to compete in either the 400 IM or 200 freestyle relay.
The Terriers are back in action at Fordham on Nov. 8. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
