BOSTON - Boston University head golf coach Bruce Chalas announced on Thursday the signing of Megan Carter, who will join the Terriers for the 2015-16 season.
"We're excited to add Megan Carter to the roster," Chalas said. "Megan is a top student and a well-traveled tournament player. She will add depth to our lineup."
Carter hails from Blackshear, Georgia, and attends Ware County High School. She was the runner-up at the 2013 Class AAAAA State Championship, shooting a one-under 71 and finishing one stroke behind the champion. Carter also claimed the 2013 Georgia Junior PGA Championship.
In 2014, Carter collected three top-10 finishes, including an eighth-place performance at the AJGA Davis Love III Junior Open. She has qualified for the 2015 USGA Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship and has been a three-time all-region and all-state selection.
