Terriers Fall to No. 14 Harvard and Northeastern

After a full day of racing on Saturday, the Boston University women’s rowing team continued its busy spring season on Sunday, competing against No. 14 Harvard and Northeastern on the Charles River. The Terriers finished third in the V8 and 2V8 races and fourth in the 3V8 race.
The V8 boat, coxed by senior Sarah Specht and stroked by freshman Kerri Wegner, finished with a time of 7:09.3. The Terriers finished third behind Harvard, which raced to a time of 6:50.6 and took home the Allen-DeWolfe Trophy and Northeastern, which finished with a time of 7:01.6 and defeated the Terriers for the Council Cup.
The second varsity eight boat, coxed by freshman Marlaina Miller and stroked by senior Mackenzie Wiler, finished with a time of 7:23.7, behind race winner Harvard (6:56.0) and Northeastern (7:07.6).
The Terriers next travel to Providence, R.I to face No. 6 Brown on April 18 starting at 9:00 a.m.
