SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Boston University women's track & field team competed at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by American International on Saturday.
The Terriers combined for 35 points, good for 10th place. BU earned points on nine different occasions, with sophomore Jade Paul taking the lone Terrier victory. She won the 400m dash with a time of 57.14 seconds. Freshman Kerri Graber finished fourth (1:00.10) and sophomore Talia Flores (1:00.48) secured seventh in that event. Junior Victoria Perez was fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:06.44) while freshmen Adrienne Pascucci (16.63) and Erika Treske (17.82) competed in the 100m hurdles.
Senior Sarah Dillard took third in the shot put (12.15m) and finished fourth in the discus (37.60m). Freshman Catherine Yu also took part in the discus (30.18m). Sophomore Demi McEntee secured seventh in the javelin (32.00m) while Treske was next in that event with an eighth-place throw of 30.07 meters.
Sophomore Catherine Sampson was eighth in the long jump (5.09m) while classmate Alexandra Fox competed in the high jump (1.38m). Treske (4.58m) and Pascucci (4.56m) also competed in the long jump.
BU will be back in action next weekend at the George Mason Invitational as well as the George Davis Invitational.
