
BU Competes at Sean Collier Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston University women’s track & field team competed at the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT on Saturday, April 19.
Senior Allison Barwise had three top-five finishes, including a first-place performance in the 100m hurdles (14.10). Junior Victoria Perez joined Barwise as a winner after a time of 1:04.78 in the 400m hurdles. Barwise (25.67), freshman Kerri Graber (25.94) and sophomore Talia Flores (25.98) placed fourth, fifth and seventh, respectively, in the 200m dash. Graber also took third in the 400m dash with a mark of 59.76 seconds. Barwise also secured second in the javelin with a throw of 42.62 meters.
Freshman Erika Treske competed in the 200m dash (27.52) and the 100m hurdles (17.39) while Flores finished the 100m dash with a time of 12.92 seconds and freshman Adrienne Pascucci (16.64) competed in the 100m hurdles.
Three Terriers finished first in field events, as senior Nikko Brady was victorious in the long jump (5.90m), junior Tessa Runels won the triple jump (11.78m) and senior Sarah Dillard was tops in the discus (41.60m). Dillard also took third in the shot put (12.07m) and the hammer throw (43.95m).
Freshman Natalie Grabowski was seventh in the pole vault (3.05m) while classmate Sarah Kert (2.90m) took 10th in that event. Freshman Catherine Yu was eighth in the discus (33.47m) and sophomore Catherine Sampson competed in the shot put (9.85m). Sophomore Alexandra Fox competed in the high jump (1.47m) while classmate Demi McEntee (32.08m) joined Treske (26.37m) and Pascucci (26.17m) in the javelin.
BU will be back in action April 24-26 in the Penn Relays, with athletes also competing at the Skyhawk Invitational in Easton, Mass.
