Women's Rowing Opens Season Against BC on Saturday

The Boston University women's rowing team will open their Fall 2014 campaign against Boston College on Saturday at DeWolfe Boathouse beginning at 8:45 a.m.
The BU openweights are coming off a fantastic 2013-2014 campaign that saw them win the Patriot League Championship and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Championships, the team's second-consecutive trip to the NCAAs.
The BU lightweights' 2013-14 season saw the Terriers race in their first Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship Regatta, with both its boats recording top 5 finishes.
Last October, BU swept the Eagles in all four races, with the BU A (openweight) and BU B (lightweight) varsity eight boats finishing 1,2 in both eights races.
After facing BC, the Terriers will next race in the Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 18 and 19.
