Terriers Take Second at Nassaney Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Boston University men's cross country team opened its 2014 season with a second-place finish at the Nassaney Invitational on Saturday morning at Bryant University.
Two Terriers earned top-five finishes to help BU earn 61 points. Northeastern finished first with 24 points while Holy Cross was a distant third with 112 points.
Junior Paul Gennaro led the way for the Terriers with a third-place performance. He posted a time of 15:41.5. Senior Ben Ravetz was fifth with a time of 15:54.1. Two other Terriers crossed the finish line among the top 20 harriers, as senior Stuart Ross (16:18.9) and junior Alec Olson (16:27.5) were 13th and 18th, respectively.
Sophomore Matti Groll rounded out the top-five Terriers with a time of 16:37.2, good for 22nd. Classmate Ethan Homan finished 25th with a time of 16:43.0 while freshman James Paige made his collegiate debut with a time of 16:45.4 to cross the finish line in 28th place.
BU will be back in action on Sept. 27 when the Terriers take aim at the Ted Owen Invitational in New Britain, Connecticut.
