Terriers Continue Home Season at John Thomas Terrier Invitational

RESULTS
Highlighted by nine top-10 finishes, the Boston University men's track & field team competed in the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Saturday at the Track and Tennis Center.
Saving the best for last, junior Kevin Thomas won the 5,000m with a personal best time of 14:00.53 in the final event of the day. Junior Alec Olson finished with a time of 14:11.98 in the 5,000, good for fifth place in a field of 88 runners.
Sophomore Cameron Williams continued his strong indoor season by taking third in the 200m with a time of 21.28 while junior David Lagerberg finished seventh with a time of 21.49.
Earlier in the day, sophomore David Oluwadara won the triple jump competition with an impressive effort of 15.15m. In the pole vault, senior Nikolaos Farmakidis had the second-best vault of the day, clearing 5.00m.
Junior Reuben Horace placed second in the weight throw with an 18.99m toss and senior Ethan Knight had the fourth-best throw in the shot put with a 16.48m effort.
During the meet, the BU track and field team held its annual Lupas fundraiser to help raise awareness for the Lupus Foundation of America. BU student-athletes distributed information on the disease and collected donations from those in attendance.

BU will be back in action on Feb. 6 at the Harvard Invitational before returning home for the Scarlet & White Invitational on Feb. 7 at the TTC.
