Men's Track & Field Finishes Season at NCAA East First Rounds

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Freshman Guy Margalit and junior Freddy Collins closed out their seasons at the 2025 NCAA East First Rounds on Friday at Hodges Stadium.
Margalit finished 34th in the event with a mark of 14.77 meters, failing to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He was one of just six freshman who made it to the preliminary rounds and had a successful first outdoor season in which he won a silver medal at the 2025 Patriot League Outdoor Championships in the triple jump and posted the sixth-best mark in BU history with a 15.36m jump.
Collins ran in the 5000m, ultimately not finishing the race, but raced with the front pack for 3000m. This season, Collins clocked the fourth-fastest time in BU history in the 5000m and finished fourth in the 10000m at the 2025 Patriot League Championships.
The men's season comes to a close, but the BU women will close out the East First Rounds on Saturday, May 31.
