Tillo Named PL Golfer of the Month

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Junior Emily Tillo of the Boston University golf team was named the Patriot League Female Golfer of the Month, as announced on Thursday.
Tillo was terrific in three tournaments during March, finishing with two top-10 finishes, including a T-6 at the North Florida Intercollegiate in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. She averaged a score of 75.77 over nine rounds and was particularly impressive in three final rounds. She shot a 73 on the final day of the Kiawah Island Classic to help the Terriers win the Flight Championship. She then carded a one-under 71 at North Florida before totaling an even-par 72 to secure a tie for 10th at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate.
Her highlight of the month came at Kiawah Island, when as part of her final-round 73 she fired a hole-in-one. That round was the second of five straight rounds of 77 or better for Tillo, who was also selected as Patriot League Golfer of the Month for September.
BU will be back in action at Brown on April 12 before remaining in Providence, Rhode Island, for the Battle at the Bay hosted by the Bears on April 12-13.
