CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Six members of the Boston University golf team were named to the Patriot League Women's Golf Academic Honor Roll, the league announced on Monday.
Junior Emily Tillo, the back-to-back Patriot League Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, was named to the squad after achieving a 4.0 grade-point average as a business administration & management major. Tillo turned in four top-10 performances and averaged a 76.04 over 28 rounds in an impressive season on the course as well.
Two other key members of the Terriers run to their first-ever Patriot League championship were recognized, including conference champion Adela Cejnarova. The sophomore was a two-time winner and coupled her athletic success with a 3.93 GPA as an international relations major.
Graduate student Kristyna Pavlickova closed her outstanding collegiate career with a top-five finish in 2014-15 as she pursued her master's degree in computer information systems. Pavlickova was named to a conference honor roll in each of her four seasons as a Terrier and she leaves BU having led the program to its best four-year stretch in school history.
Junior Daniela Sanchez made the league's honor roll for the second straight season after posting a 3.46 GPA while studying political science. Sanchez, Tillo, Cejnarova and Pavlickova were all repeat selections from a year ago. Junior Kaelyn Hilliard and senior Flor Canedo were recognized on the honor roll for the first time in 2015. Hilliard (political science) had a 3.40 GPA while Canedo (business administration & management) earned a 3.30 GPA.
