SERIES HISTORY
- BU is 25-11-3 all-time against Providence, including an impressive 16-2-1 mark at home.
- The Terriers are just 7-9-2 at Schneider Arena, but they are 4-0-1 in their last five games there.
- BU had its 10-game win streak against the Friars snapped last year, but the Terriers are unbeaten against PC in their last 12 games and are 17-1-1 in their last 19 tilts against the Friars dating back to the 2011-12 season.
- The last time BU lost two straight contests against the Friars was during the 2008-09 campaign.
- The Terriers are 22-3-2 since that two-game losing skid.
LAST TIME AGAINST PROVIDENCE
- BU bested Providence, 5-2, on Jan. 22, 2017 at Walter Brown Arena.
- Nina Rodgers recorded two goals and Victoria Bach tallied three assists.
- Rebecca Leslie and Abby Cook each collected a goal and an assist in the win.
- The Terriers never trailed.
YOU FRIARS FROM PROVIDENCE?
- Providence has lost just once in 10 league games this year, a 7-4 defeat at Boston College on Nov. 3.
- The Friars took three of four points from UConn last weekend.
- Juniors Cassidy MacPherson (4g, 13a) and Christina Putigna (8g, 9a) lead the Friars with 17 points.
- MacPherson's 13 helpers lead Providence.
- Freshman Maureen Murphy has scored a team-high 12 goals.
- Junior Madison Myers has started all 17 games in which she has appeared.
- She is 9-4-4 with a 1.91 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.
BEST OF BU AGAINST THE FRIARS
- Victoria Bach leads the Terriers in goals (9), assists (9) and points (18) against Providence.
- Rebecca Leslie is not far behind with 14 points (7g, 7a) against the Friars.
- Nina Rodgers (2g, 2a) has four career points against Providence, followed by Abby Cook (1g, 2a) with three points.
- Savannah Newton and Connor Galway each have two helpers against PC.
- Mary Grace Kelley has lit the lamp against the Friars.
- Erin O'Neil is 4-0-0 in four starts against the Friars thanks to a .961 save percentage and a minuscule 1.00 goals-against average.
RECAPPING THURSDAY'S WIN AT YALE
- Senior Victoria Bach scored four goals to help lead BU to a 5-2 win at Yale.
- The Terriers took a 3-0 lead into the final frame before Yale tallied twice.
- Redshirt sophomore Abbey Stanley's goal with 1:36 to play made it 4-2 before Bach added an empty-netter.
- Freshman Corinne Schroeder made 30 saves.
- Senior captain Rebecca Leslie added two assists to join Stanley (1g, 1a) with a multiple-point night.
- Junior Mary Grace Kelley, sophomore Breanna Scarpaci and freshman Nara Elia all added an assist apiece.
TERRIERS PLAYING WELL ON THE ROAD
- BU has played well away from Walter Brown over the last month.
- The Terriers are 3-0-2 since Oct. 29 in true road games and are 4-1-2 when neutral site contests are included.
- That one loss came against No. 1 Wisconsin.
- In all but one of the Terriers' nine games away from Walter Brown Arena, they have scored first.
ANOTHER FOUR GOALS FOR BACH
- Senior Victoria Bach continued her outstanding season on Thursday with the second four-goal effort of the year.
- The National Player of the Month for November took over the NCAA lead in goals with her 21st marker of the year to seal a 5-2 win at Yale.
- Bach is the only NCAA player with three hat tricks and two four-goal games this season.
- All three of her hat tricks have come away from home; two were on the road and one was at a neutral site.
- In fact, Bach has as many or more four-goal contests than 13 Division I schools this season.
BACH SCORING AT HISTORIC PACE
- Senior Victoria Bach became the fastest Terrier to 20 goals in program history, achieving that feat in just her 18th game of the season.
- Bach is also the first Terrier to score 20 goals in four different seasons.
- She is just seven goals away from surpassing Sarah Lefort ('16) for most goals at BU; Lefort lit the lamp 92 times in her storied career.
LESLIE KEEPS ON ROLLING
- Senior captain Rebecca Leslie is in the midst of a terrific stretch of games.
- She extended her point streak to nine games (9g, 12a) with her pair of helpers at Yale.
- Thursday was the eighth straight game in which Leslie notched at least two points, which is the nation's longest active multi-point streak.
- She has tallied 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 total points this year.
NEXT UP
- BU will be off until Dec. 30 when the Terriers travel to Princeton for a weekend series.
- Puck drop on the 30th is set for 3 p.m., with the game on Dec. 31 scheduled for 1 p.m.
