COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Continuing a four-match road trip, the Boston University women's tennis team fell at Maryland, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon. The Terrapins won two of three doubles matches for the first point and then claimed four of the six singles points to snap the Terriers' three-match win streak.

- Maryland jumped out to a 1-0 lead by posting a 6-0 win at line doubles and 6-2 victory in the No. 3 slot ... BU's junior Iryna Kostirko and sophomore Remi Ramos prevented the sweep with a 6-2 win at No. 2.
- The Terrapins won four straight singles points, including three matches that saw Maryland dropping a combined six games.
- Junior Iryna Kostirko battled former All-ACC honoree Alexandra Stanova but came up just short in the top slot, 7-5, 6-4.
- Sophomore Sabrina Faybyshev rallied from a set down to defeat Cassandre Thebault at No. 4 singles, 0-6, 7-5, 10-7.
