RESULTS
STORRS, Conn. – Members of the Boston University men's swimming & diving team raced for the final time before the Patriot League Championship on Saturday at UConn's Husky Invitational.
Senior Daniel Andronov led the Terriers by winning the 50 free with a time of 20.87, half a second faster than UConn's William Kearsey, and the 100 free at 46.38, well ahead of BC's Max Threlkeld (47.35).
BU recorded five other top-six results. Sophomore Matt Traub placed third in the 200 back at 1:54.34 before freshman Tommy Hagerty took fourth in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.29.
Junior Chris Downing finished fifth in the 100 fly at 53:05. Sophomore Justin Wang also placed fifth in the 100 breast at 1:00.48 and ended the day sixth in the 200 breast (2:12.21).
BU will next travel to Bucknell on Feb. 15-18 for the Patriot League Championships.
