BOSTON – Looking to improve upon the last three third-place finishes at the Patriot League Championships, the Boston University men's swimming & diving team will open the four-day event Wednesday evening at Bucknell's Kinney Nataorium.

The championships begin with the women's three-meter diving trials on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with finals for the day's events starting at 6 p.m. Preliminary events start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning, followed by finals each day at 6 p.m.

During the dual season, the Terriers went 7-4, collecting wins over fellow PL members Lehigh, Bucknell and American while also falling at last year's runner-up, Army West Point.

BU will feature four Terriers who earned All-Conference honors at last year's meet – 200 IM champion Quinn Smith, 400 IM runner-up and 200 back bronze medalist Garrett Chin, top-four breaststroke finisher Daniel Andronov and 3-meter dive bronze medalist David Thiede.

Navy enters as the preseason favorite having captured the last 13 men's conference titles.
